About The Position

The Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy invites applications for Sessional Lecturers to teach courses for the 2026-27 Regular Session. The courses include JSGS 806.3 Public Policy Analysis (Fall 2026), JSGS 892.3 MPA Capstone Class (Fall 2026), and JSGS 802.3 Public Finance (Winter 2027). All courses are scheduled to be offered in person in Saskatoon. Appointment periods include additional days for preparation and marking. Courses may be cancelled due to low enrollment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in public administration, public policy, economics, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with the MPA competencies.
  • Experience working in the public sector.
  • Registration in the PhD in Public Policy program in the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Saskatchewan is required for JSGS 802.3.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for any off-campus courses.

Nice To Haves

  • A PhD degree is preferred.
  • Previous teaching experience, particularly at the graduate level, would be considered an asset.
  • Work experience in the public sector is strongly preferred for JSGS 802.3.
