About The Position

This course will provide students with opportunities to study and carry out research on a contemporary subject within urban design. Instructor is encouraged to foreground forms of representation as a medium and/or tools of engagement in assignments. The estimated course enrollment is 18 students, with no estimated TA support. The class schedule is to be determined but will be 3 hours long. The sessional dates of appointment are from January 1, 2027, to April 30, 2027.

Requirements

  • MArc with a MUD or MSc in Urban Planning degree
  • Professional urban design experience

Nice To Haves

  • Proven record of scholarship and/or teaching urban design at the graduate level
  • Knowledge of contemporary urban design issues

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and delivery of course material
  • Managing digital teaching materials
  • Preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations
  • Marking of student work
  • Submission of grades
  • Dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions
