About The Position
This August-intensive course, URD1021HF - Urban Design Visual Communications, is an introduction to contemporary urbanism and urban design visual communication for incoming first-year MUD students. The course will be taught in a hybrid studio and seminar format. It will cover contemporary issues in urban design visual communication, explore various visual communication techniques and methods, and include assignments that offer novel ways of expressing visual communication on urban design matters. The estimated course enrollment is 12 students.
Requirements
- MArch or MLA degree
- Proven record of teaching graduate-level seminars or studios
Nice To Haves
- MUD degree or professional architectural or urban design experience
- Experience and knowledge of visual communication theory, techniques, and methods, including both non-Western and Western contexts
Responsibilities
- Preparation and delivery of course material
- Managing digital teaching materials
- Preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations
- Marking of student work
- Submission of grades
- Dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions
- Student contact hours
