About The Position

This course will provide students with opportunities to study and carry out research on a contemporary subject within urban design. Instructor is encouraged to foreground forms of representation as a medium and/or tools of engagement in assignments. The estimated course enrollment is 18 students, with no estimated TA support. The class schedule is to be determined (3 hours) and the room is to be determined. The sessional dates of appointment are from September 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026.

Requirements

  • MArch, MLA, MUD, or MSc in Urban Planning degree
  • Professional urban design experience preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Proven record of scholarship and/or teaching urban design at the graduate level
  • Knowledge of contemporary urban design issues

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and delivery of course material
  • Managing digital teaching materials
  • Preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations
  • Marking of student work
  • Submission of grades
  • Dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions
