About The Position

This position is for a Teaching Assistant for the course BMDE 501 - Selected Topics in Biomedical Engineering at McGill University. The TA will assist professors with lecture-related tasks, lead discussions, and provide support to students. The role involves establishing guidelines and marking policies with the instructor, holding weekly office hours, assisting with exam and assignment organization and invigilation, marking assignments and exams, and entering grades on myCourses. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be a registered Graduate McGill student.
  • Ideally, must have previously passed the course.
  • Alternatively, can have good knowledge of the course.
  • Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with instructor to establish guidelines and marking policies.
  • Provide weekly office hours to students.
  • Help with exam/assignment organization and invigilation.
  • Mark exams and assignments.
  • Enter grades on myCourses.
  • Assist professors with lecture-related tasks.
  • Lead discussions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
