About The Position

The Department of Management at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) is seeking a Sessional Lecturer for the Fall 2026 academic term to teach MGT371 Business Technology Management. This course covers the principles firms should use when formulating strategies in modern, technology-mediated markets, emphasizing fundamental conceptual frameworks and relating them to real-life examples and case studies. The appointment period runs from September 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. The minimum stipend rate for a Sessional Lecturer I is $9,997.47 (0.5 FCE), inclusive of vacation pay. Applicants are expected to have superior teaching ability, suitable academic and/or professional qualifications, and currency and mastery of the subject matter. Preference will be given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or III. Responsibilities

  • Preparation and delivery of course content, including lectures and/or seminars
  • Creation of course ware
  • Development and administration of assignments, tests, and examinations
  • Marking and grading of student work and submission of grades
  • Maintenance of reasonable hours of student contact outside of scheduled contact hours
  • Supervision of the day-to-day work of any Sessional Instructional Assistants or Teaching Assistants assigned to the course
