About The Position

The Department of Management at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) is seeking applications for a Sessional Lecturer position for the Fall 2026 academic term. This position is for MGT353: Introduction to Marketing Management. The course is applications-oriented and aims to develop the analytic skills required of marketing managers, focusing on analyzing marketing situations, identifying market opportunities, developing marketing strategies, and making/defending recommendations. All posted jobs are subject to the parameters listed in the collective agreement and departmental policies. Preference will be given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or III. Requirements

  • Superior teaching ability
  • Suitable academic and/or professional qualifications
  • Currency and mastery of the subject matter
  • Clearly demonstrated teaching excellence in the subject matter through previous experience teaching the course or very similar courses

  • Significant experience in applying the subject matter in a practical environment

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and delivery of course content, including lectures and/or seminars
  • Creation of course ware
  • Development and administration of assignments, tests, and examinations
  • Marking and grading of student work and submission of grades
  • Maintenance of reasonable hours of student contact outside of scheduled contact hours
  • Supervision of the day-to-day work of any Sessional Instructional Assistants or Teaching Assistants assigned to the course
