About The Position

The Department of Management at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) has a Sessional Lecturer position available for the Winter 2026 academic term. This position involves teaching MGT231H5, which analyzes the financial investment decision-making process of individuals and firms. The course covers present-value techniques, capital budgeting decision-rules, investment under uncertainty, and portfolio theory. The appointment period runs from September 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. The minimum stipend rate inclusive of vacation pay is $9,997.47 for a 0.5 Full Course Equivalent (FCE). Applicants are expected to have superior teaching ability, relevant academic and/or professional qualifications, and mastery of the subject matter. Preference is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or III. Responsibilities

Preparation and delivery of course content, including lectures and/or seminars.
Creation of course ware.
Development and administration of assignments, tests, and examinations.
Marking and grading of student work and submission of grades.
Maintenance of reasonable hours of student contact outside of scheduled contact hours.
Supervision of the day-to-day work of any Sessional Instructional Assistants or Teaching Assistants assigned to the course.
