About The Position
LightFeather is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Architect to join its Washington, D.C.-based team in a fully remote, full-time role. The position designs, implements, and optimizes ServiceNow solutions in support of IT modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate has extensive ServiceNow architecture, integration, and customization expertise and a record of using the platform to streamline workflows, improve service delivery, and enhance operational efficiency. U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates must possess or be able to obtain a Secret or Top Secret security clearance. The role leads solution design and technical planning for ServiceNow implementations, develops custom applications, integrates external systems, and optimizes workflows, data migrations, and system performance. It also provides technical leadership, documentation, compliance oversight, troubleshooting, and recommendations for continuous platform improvement. Requirements
- Active Secret or higher security clearance.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
- At least 5 years of experience as a ServiceNow Architect or in a similar role.
- In-depth experience with ServiceNow integrations, custom development, and troubleshooting.
- Expertise implementing and optimizing ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, Security Operations, Service Catalog, and Reporting.
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow data models, workflows, JavaScript, REST APIs, and web technologies, including HTML and CSS.
- Experience with ServiceNow upgrades, performance optimization, and scalable platform best practices.
- Strong knowledge of data security practices and integration security protocols.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop solutions to complex technical challenges.
- Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- U.S. citizenship; candidates must possess or be able to obtain a Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
Nice To Haves
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification or equivalent certifications.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Jira, Jenkins, and GitHub.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize scalable ServiceNow solutions aligned with business and IT requirements and platform best practices.
- Lead ServiceNow implementations, including solution design, technical planning, and phased deployments, while ensuring performance and maintainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical requirements and specifications.
- Develop custom applications and extend ServiceNow modules using ServiceNow App Engine, Flow Designer, scripting, and other platform capabilities.
- Integrate ServiceNow with external systems and third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and robust security.
- Optimize workflows, manage data migrations, and improve system performance through configuration and platform best practices.
- Conduct code reviews, testing, and deployment planning to maintain reliability, scalability, and security.
- Mentor developers, guide stakeholders, and enforce ServiceNow development best practices.
- Create and maintain documentation for applications, system designs, configurations, integrations, and processes.
- Ensure compliance with IT security standards, data governance policies, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting ServiceNow performance and functionality.
- Stay current with ServiceNow updates and features and recommend enhancements aligned with IT modernization goals.
