About The Position
The Detroit Garage in Whitmore Lake, Michigan, is hiring a Service Advisor to join its team. The company operates 10 locations and provides automotive services. The Service Advisor builds customer relationships, provides excellent customer service, and sells recommended services and repairs. Requirements
- At least 1–2 years of work experience as an Automotive Service Advisor; required.
- Automotive knowledge.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Honesty and integrity, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
- Team-first mentality.
- Valid driver's license; required.

Responsibilities
- Ensure customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service in person or by phone.
- Act as a point of contact between technicians and customers.
- Perform vehicle walk-arounds and document customer concerns so technicians can diagnose and service vehicles properly.
- Keep customers informed about completion times, service expenses, and possible changes.
- Follow and promote high standards of safety, organization, and cleanliness.
- Greet and consult customers about their needs, recommend services and repairs, and educate them about potential long-term cost savings.
