About The Position

Mark-Taylor is hiring a Service Technician at Ascend at Kierland in Scottsdale, Arizona. The position helps keep the apartment community running smoothly by completing maintenance repairs and supporting community upkeep while providing five-star service. The role includes unit make-ready work, troubleshooting and repairing building systems and appliances, preventative maintenance, pool care, safety inspections, and monitoring supplies. Service team members share on-call duty and must be available to go to the property when needed, in uniform and with a badge.

Requirements

• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, landscape maintenance, appliances, and OSHA-related standards.
• Knowledge of building systems.
• Service orientation.
• Basic computer skills.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as an apartment turn technician, make-ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with completing make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain an adequate supply of make-ready units for the community.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct minor air-conditioning or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry issues, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care, ensure the pool is in proper chemical balance, and keep the area free of safety concerns.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose liability, correct hazards, and inform the Manager of Facilities and Service.
• Share on-call duty with the Manager of Facilities and Service and service team members, and be readily available to go to the property if needed, in uniform and with a badge.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
