Service Technician - Intermediate

About The Position

The Residential Installation Technician evaluates customers’ needs, determines and installs suitable security systems and equipment, tests system functionality and signal reception, and educates customers on system use. The role visits residential and business customers and works collaboratively with customers and coworkers to provide solutions. Technicians are expected to follow safety practices, protect property and equipment, and leave each job site clean and in good condition.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license.
High school degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Work with customers to determine the optimal system and equipment for their needs.
Install and test equipment to ensure proper functionality and signal reception needed to establish service.
Evaluate information provided and work with customers to identify the best solution for their location.
Identify opportunities to improve the use and functionality of customers’ systems and recommend improvements.
Follow safety practices to safeguard against injury and property damage.
Prevent loss of unused materials, ladders, and tools at job sites or office locations.
Collect debris, patch holes, and clean each site, leaving it as nice as or better than it was before work began.
Perform other duties needed to support the company’s vision, mission, and values.
Visit customers at their homes or businesses and work closely with customers and coworkers.
