About The Position

SPATCO is seeking an experienced service technician serving the Miami, Florida area. Technicians troubleshoot, repair, install, program, and test petroleum fueling equipment and electronic point-of-sale systems. The role includes updated training and certifications to support career development. Technicians work alongside branch managers, dispatchers, other experienced technicians, and trainees, and may help trainees complete their training and certifications. Work hours vary according to workload and customer needs and do not follow a typical 8-to-5 shift.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid state-issued driver's license and good driving record.
At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining gasoline dispensing units, including dispenser hydraulics and submerged pump units.
Valid dispenser certification(s).
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Ability to travel locally each day.
Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units, including Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic point-of-sale systems, including VeriFone, Gilbarco, and NCR equipment.
Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and perform repairs as needed.
Perform scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance on fueling systems.
Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in a non-technical manner.
Work as part of a team with branch managers, dispatchers, technicians, and trainees.
Assist trainees with completing training and certifications when paired with them.
