About The Position

SPATCO is hiring an experienced service technician to support customers in the petroleum industry. The technician will work alongside branch managers, dispatchers, experienced technicians, and trainees. The role may include assisting a trainee with training and certifications. Technicians receive updated training and certifications to support career development. This position does not follow a typical 8-to-5 schedule; hours may vary according to workload and customer needs. The work involves daily local travel, outdoor work in all types of weather, and lifting 50–75 pounds.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid state-issued driver's license and good driving record.
At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining gasoline dispensing units, including dispenser hydraulics and submerged pump units.
Valid dispenser certification(s).
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Ability to travel locally daily.
Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units, including Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic point-of-sale systems, including VeriFone, Gilbarco, and NCR systems.
Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and make repairs as required.
Perform scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance on fueling systems.
Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in a non-technical manner.
Work as part of a team with branch managers, dispatchers, technicians, and trainees.
Assist trainees with completing training and certifications when paired with them.
