About The Position

SPATCO is seeking an experienced service technician serving the Fort Myers, Florida area. The technician will provide customer-focused service in the petroleum industry and receive updated training and certifications to support career advancement. They will work alongside branch managers, dispatchers, other experienced technicians, and trainees, and may occasionally help a trainee complete training and certifications. This role does not follow a typical 8-to-5 schedule; hours may vary based on workload and customer needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and a good driving record.
• At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining gasoline dispensing units, including dispenser hydraulics and submerged pump units.
• Valid dispenser certification(s).
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Ability to travel locally each day.
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units, including Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic point-of-sale systems, including VeriFone, Gilbarco, and NCR systems.
• Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
• Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and make repairs as required.
• Perform scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance on fueling systems.
• Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in non-technical terms.
• Work with trainees as needed to assist with their training and certifications.
