About The Position

Elite Electric Plumbing and Air, a Southern Home Services Company, is seeking a Service Plumber to perform residential plumbing service work, including troubleshooting, installation, and repair. The plumber diagnoses plumbing issues, determines whether repairs or replacements are needed, and completes work to high-quality standards and local codes while communicating effectively with homeowners. The role includes installing, maintaining, and repairing water and gas systems, pipes, fittings, and components; testing for leaks; maintaining vehicle inventory, tools, and safety equipment; and performing other assigned duties. The position involves physical work in indoor and outdoor environments, including attics and crawlspaces, and may require work in extreme temperatures and adverse weather. Requirements

At least 2 years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and repairing residential and commercial plumbing systems.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications.
Expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing water, gas, and sewage systems.
Familiarity with local and state plumbing codes and regulations.
Experience using tools and equipment such as pipe cutters, threaders, and soldering tools.
Ability to diagnose complex plumbing issues and recommend effective solutions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers, team members, and supervisors.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, working in confined spaces, and handling tools for extended periods.
Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Proven record of excellent customer service, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
Basic knowledge of mobile apps and work management software to track tasks and report job progress.
Ability to lead apprentices, work within a team, and coordinate with other trades on larger projects.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and emergency calls, as needed.
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and 3 years of driving experience.
Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Ability to climb ladders, access attics, navigate tight spaces and crawlspaces, drive, push, carry, pull, use hand tools, and perform fine detail work.
Ability to stand, walk, and sit; talk or hear in person and by telephone; handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; and regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors, with regular exposure to extreme heat or cold and adverse weather including wind, rain, ice, or snow.

Responsibilities

Diagnose problems and failures in plumbing systems and equipment.
Determine whether customers need repairs or replacements.
Install and assemble plumbing systems and equipment, including valves, pipe fittings, and pipes.
Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on water and gas systems, pipes, fittings, and components.
Test for leaks using compressed air and/or water to ensure functionality and safety.
Repair and maintain plumbing systems by replacing washers, mending burst pipes, and clearing clogged drains.
Manage vehicle inventory of plumbing supplies by checking stock, placing orders, and verifying receipts.
Keep equipment and tools operational by following manufacturer instructions and established procedures.
Maintain safety equipment.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
