About The Position

Elite Electric Plumbing and Air, a Southern Home Services company, is seeking a Service Plumber to perform residential plumbing service work. The role involves troubleshooting, installing, and repairing plumbing systems; diagnosing issues; completing repairs and installations; and ensuring work meets quality standards and local codes. Success requires strong problem-solving skills and effective communication with homeowners. The position includes managing plumbing supplies and equipment in a company vehicle, maintaining tools and safety equipment, and supporting apprentices and coordination with other trades. The physical work takes place in indoor and outdoor environments, including attics and crawlspaces, and may involve exposure to extreme temperatures and adverse weather. Requirements

At least 2 years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and repairing residential and commercial plumbing systems.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications.
Expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing water, gas, and sewage systems.
Familiarity with local and state plumbing codes and regulations.
Experience using tools and equipment such as pipe cutters, threaders, and soldering tools.
Ability to diagnose complex plumbing issues and recommend effective solutions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers, team members, and supervisors.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, working in confined spaces, and handling tools for extended periods.
In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Proven record of excellent customer service, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
Basic knowledge of mobile apps and work management software for tracking tasks and reporting job progress.
Ability to work well within a team and coordinate with other trades.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and emergency calls, as needed.
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and at least 3 years of driving experience.
Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Ability to climb ladders, access attics, navigate tight spaces and crawlspaces, drive, push, carry, pull, use hand tools, and perform fine detail work.
Ability to stand, walk, and sit; talk or hear in person and by telephone; handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; and regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments and tolerate regular exposure to extreme heat or cold and adverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Diagnose problems and failures in plumbing systems and equipment.
Determine whether customer plumbing issues require repairs or replacements.
Install and assemble plumbing systems and equipment, including valves, pipe fittings, and pipes.
Install, maintain, and repair water and gas systems, pipes, fittings, and components.
Test plumbing systems for leaks using compressed air and/or water.
Repair and maintain plumbing systems, including replacing washers, mending burst pipes, and clearing clogged drains.
Manage vehicle inventory of plumbing supplies by checking stock, placing orders, and verifying receipts.
Keep equipment and tools operational by following manufacturer instructions and established procedures.
Maintain safety equipment.
Lead apprentices, work with the team, and coordinate with other trades on larger projects.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
