About The Position
The Heavy-duty Parts Specialist (Back Counter/Service) works in a fast-paced environment, providing accurate, first-class assistance to technicians and service advisors in person and by telephone. The role requires familiarity with the automotive and heavy-duty industry to answer questions accurately and meet customers’ needs and requirements. The position is part of FleetPride, a distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Parts-provisioning experience in an automotive repair environment.
- Strong computer and internet skills across multiple platforms.
- Unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Strong verbal communication, presentation, and writing skills.
Nice To Haves
- Post-secondary education or coursework.
Responsibilities
- Order parts from local parts dealers and OEM dealerships.
- Attend to parts work orders from service technicians and service advisors.
- Provide clear and accurate estimated arrival times and other information about special-order parts.
- Ensure special orders are received promptly and notify internal and external customers.
- Secure, tag, and sort return parts, then return them promptly to the source.
- Maintain the parts storage area in a clean and well-organized condition.
- Provide high-quality service as a team-oriented, energetic, positive, and self-motivated team member.
