About The Position

The Service Desk Clerk supports guests and store operations by providing fast, friendly, and accurate checkout service. The clerk stays informed about advertised items, special prices, coupon deals, and other store sales programs, and knows product locations throughout the store. The role also requires knowledge of current perishable codes and company security and cash drawer accounting procedures. Work is generally performed in a safe and comfortable store environment, with possible frequent exposure to hot or cold conditions. The position requires standing, walking, and bending throughout the workday, as well as handling objects weighing up to 30 pounds. Requirements

Minimum age of 18 years.
Ability to perform the stated physical and sensory demands, including standing, walking, bending, repetitive motions, coordination, responding to customer inquiries, and maneuvering objects weighing up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

Stay informed about advertised items, special prices, coupon deals, and other features of store sales programs.
Maintain knowledge of product locations throughout the store and current perishable codes to support fast checkout.
Notify appropriate personnel of pricing errors or items not found in the file during checkout.
Follow company security and cash drawer accounting procedures.
Count in and out promptly and accurately, balancing the cash till each shift.
Observe the front end to help ensure excellent guest service.
Assist where needed and operate the cash register efficiently, completing checkout procedures in a fast, friendly, and accurate manner.
Pack guest purchases quickly and efficiently when necessary.
