About The Position

AutoNation is one of the largest automotive retailers in the United States, offering new and used vehicles, customer financing, parts, and maintenance and repair services. As a Service Advisor at AutoNation Chevrolet North, you will help service customers and build long-term customer loyalty. Working in the service department, you will act as the link between customers and Service Technicians, explain technician recommendations in clear language, and identify opportunities to help keep customers’ vehicles safe. The role involves working in the service lane and using technology to support customer service and sales.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to follow up with customers.
• Experience and desire to work with technology.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Prior sales experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm, and prepare for customer appointments.
• Meet or exceed targeted sales goals and customer satisfaction index goals.
• Greet customers in a friendly manner when they arrive.
• Determine vehicle needs using customer information, walk-arounds, inspections, and test drives.
• Use a consultative selling process to help customers plan for ongoing required vehicle maintenance.
• Prepare repair orders with transparent cost and time estimates.
• Communicate with technicians and parts associates to support timely completion of work.
• Update customers on vehicle status according to their communication preferences.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Develop product knowledge to effectively assist customers.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
