About The Position

AutoNation is one of the largest automotive retailers in the United States, offering new and used vehicles, customer financing, parts, and maintenance and repair services. As a Service Advisor, you will work in the service department as the liaison between customers and Service Technicians. You will explain technician recommendations in clear, accessible language and identify relevant opportunities to help keep customers’ vehicles safe. The role combines customer communication, automotive knowledge, technology, and active participation in the service lane to build customer loyalty and deliver an exceptional service experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to follow up with customers.
• Experience and desire to work with technology.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Prior sales experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm, and prepare for customer appointments.
• Meet or exceed targeted sales goals and customer satisfaction index goals.
• Greet customers when they arrive.
• Determine vehicle needs using customer information, walk-arounds, inspections, and test drives.
• Use a consultative selling process to help customers plan ongoing required vehicle maintenance.
• Prepare repair orders with cost and time estimates and full transparency.
• Communicate with technicians and parts associates to support timely completion of work.
• Update customers on vehicle status according to their preferred communication method.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Develop product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience that builds loyalty.
