About The Position

Capitol Chevrolet is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to create a high-quality automotive retail experience by assessing guests’ needs in the service department and coordinating vehicle repairs. The role involves guiding guests throughout the service process, communicating repair needs, estimates, costs, and timing, and obtaining authorization before additional repairs are performed. The position offers a stated annual salary range of $36,000–$150,000, with pay based on applicable experience and skills, and commissions based on individual sales metrics.

Requirements

At least 1 year of previous Service Advisor experience.
Valid state driver’s license and a good driving record with no major violations.
Commitment to an excellent guest experience by phone, email, in person, and after purchase.
Availability to work evenings and weekends.

Experience with X-Time and CDK.

Responsibilities

Greet guests, determine their needs, and coordinate vehicle repairs using X-Time and CDK.
Meet guests’ needs throughout the entire service process.
Write repair orders and coordinate vehicle check-in and delivery.
Build and communicate repair estimates, follow up on repair progress, and update guests about their service repairs.
Contact guests about changes to estimates or promised completion times, explain costs and timing in detail, and obtain authorization before performing additional repairs.
Advise guests on vehicle care and the value of maintaining vehicles according to manufacturers’ specifications, using maintenance menus.
