About The Position

AutoNation Ford of Bradenton is hiring a Service Advisor to serve as the go-between for Service Technicians and customers in its service department. The role involves explaining technicians’ recommendations in clear, easy-to-understand language and identifying additional service opportunities that help keep customers’ vehicles safe. The Service Advisor works actively in the service lane, uses technology and automotive knowledge, and helps build customer loyalty by providing an exceptional service experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to follow up with customers.
• Experience and desire to work with technology.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Prior sales experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm, and prepare for customer appointments.
• Meet or exceed targeted sales goals and customer satisfaction index targets.
• Greet customers in a friendly manner when they arrive.
• Determine vehicle needs using customer information, vehicle walk-arounds, inspections, and test drives.
• Use a consultative selling process to help customers plan ongoing required vehicle maintenance.
• Prepare repair orders with cost and time estimates and full transparency.
• Communicate frequently with technicians and parts associates to support timely completion of work.
• Update customers about vehicle status according to their preferred method of communication.
• Follow up with customers to ensure their satisfaction.
• Develop superior product knowledge to effectively help customers.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience that drives loyalty.
