About The Position

As a Service Advisor at AutoNation Toyota Libertyville, you will serve as the liaison between Service Technicians and customers in the service department. You will explain technicians’ recommendations in clear, accessible language, help customers plan ongoing vehicle maintenance, and suggest appropriate services to help keep their vehicles safe. The role involves active participation in the service lane and use of technology to identify service and sales opportunities.

You will help deliver an exceptional service experience, support customer loyalty, and work toward sales and customer-satisfaction targets while coordinating with technicians and parts associates.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to follow up with customers.
• Experience and desire to work with technology.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Prior sales experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm, and prepare for customer appointments.
• Meet or exceed targeted sales goals and customer satisfaction index targets.
• Greet customers when they arrive.
• Determine vehicle needs using customer information, walk-arounds, inspections, and test drives.
• Use a consultative selling process to help customers plan ongoing required vehicle maintenance.
• Prepare repair orders with transparent cost and time estimates.
• Communicate with technicians and parts associates to support timely completion of work.
• Follow up with customers about vehicle status according to their preferred communication method.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Develop product knowledge to help customers effectively.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
