About The Position

Service Advisor – Murgado Ford of Chicago Murgado Ford of Chicago, part of Murgado Automotive Group, is looking for a customer-focused Service Advisor to join our service team. In this role, you will be the main point of contact for customers during the vehicle maintenance and repair process, helping ensure a smooth, transparent, and professional service experience from drop-off to delivery.

Requirements

Previous Service Advisor experience or a similar customer-facing automotive role preferred.
Strong understanding of automotive repair and maintenance services.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
Ability to multitask and stay professional in a fast-paced service environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional automotive or customer service training is a plus.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends.

Responsibilities

Greet customers promptly and provide a welcoming, professional service experience.
Listen to customer concerns, document vehicle issues, and create accurate repair orders.
Communicate recommended maintenance and repair needs clearly to customers.
Provide estimates, explain costs, and keep customers updated on repair status and timing.
Coordinate with technicians to help ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
Recommend additional services based on vehicle inspection findings and maintenance schedules.
Resolve customer questions or concerns with professionalism and urgency.
Maintain accurate customer, vehicle, warranty, and repair documentation.
