About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is hiring a full-time Server at Vitalia Stow in Stow, Ohio. The Server welcomes residents, stays present and engaged in the dining room, and helps foster a friendly environment where residents can connect. The role also includes preparing tables and food items for meal service, rolling silverware, bussing tables, and sweeping floors. Servers communicate with supervisors and Wellness staff when they notice poor dietary habits, unusual changes in appetite, or residents absent from meals. The position requires an active team member who can stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day; frequently lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds; and assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after a fall. Applicants must be at least 16 years old, communicate in English at a minimum of eighth-grade proficiency, and be criminally cleared. The listed schedule includes Monday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Requirements
- Be at least 16 years of age.
- Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of eighth-grade proficiency.
- Have a positive, energetic attitude and a love of working with residents.
- Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
- Be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
- Be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents, help them feel welcome, and remain present and engaged in the dining room.
- Mingle and entertain residents and foster an environment where residents can connect.
- Prepare tables and salads for service and roll silverware.
- Bus tables and sweep floors.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness staff about poor dietary habits, unusual appetite changes, or residents absent from meals.
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
