About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is hiring a part-time Server at Vitalia Stow in Stow, Ohio. The role is scheduled Wednesday through Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with pay of $15 to $21.25 per hour. Servers welcome residents, spend time with them in the dining room, and help foster a friendly environment where residents can connect. They prepare tables and food-service items, keep dining areas clean, and communicate observations about residents’ appetites or meal attendance to supervisors and Wellness staff.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
• Must have a positive, energetic attitude and a strong interest in working with residents.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and help them feel welcome.
• Be present in the dining room, mingle, entertain, and foster an environment where residents can connect.
• Prepare tables for service, prepare salads for upcoming meals, and roll silverware.
• Bus tables and sweep floors to keep the community clean.
• Communicate with supervisors and Wellness staff when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed, and when residents are absent from meals.
• Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist people after a fall.
