About The Position

The Server welcomes residents and helps create a friendly, engaging dining-room atmosphere. The role includes greeting and interacting with residents, preparing tables and food items for service, rolling silverware, bussing tables, and sweeping floors. Servers also communicate with supervisors and Wellness when they observe poor dietary habits, unusual changes in appetite, or residents missing meals. The position is part-time and is located at Vitalia Montrose in Copley, Ohio. The scheduled shifts are Wednesday through Saturday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Pay is $15 to $21.25 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
Must have a positive, energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the workday.
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Greet residents, make them feel welcome, and be present and engaging in the dining room.
Mingle with and entertain residents and foster an environment where residents can connect.
Prepare tables and food items, including salads for the next meal, and roll silverware.
Bus tables and sweep floors to maintain a tidy community.
Notify supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits, unusual appetite changes, or resident absences from meals are observed.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
