About The Position
The Server works at Vitalia Rockside in Seven Hills, Ohio, providing welcoming and attentive dining service to residents. The role includes greeting residents, helping them feel welcome, being present and engaging in the dining room, and fostering opportunities for residents to connect. The Server also prepares tables and food-service items, buses tables, sweeps floors, and helps maintain a tidy community. The Server observes residents’ eating habits and communicates with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits, unusual changes in appetite, or meal absences are noticed. The position is part-time and scheduled Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Pay is $15–$23.25 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
- Must have a positive and energetic attitude and a willingness to work with residents.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and help them feel welcome in the dining room.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle and entertain residents, and foster an environment where residents can connect.
- Prepare tables and service items, including salads and rolled silverware.
- Bus tables and sweep floors to maintain a tidy community.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness about poor dietary habits, unusual appetite changes, and residents who are absent from meals.
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, including assisting people after a fall.
