Server 4pm-7:30pm $15-23.25 (Part Time)
About The Position
The Server welcomes residents and helps create a warm, sociable dining experience by greeting residents, being present in the dining room, mingling, entertaining, and encouraging connection. The role also prepares dining areas and food items for service, keeps the dining space clean, and communicates relevant observations about residents’ eating habits and attendance to supervisors and Wellness staff. This is a part-time position at Vitalia Rockside in Seven Hills, Ohio. The schedule is Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Pay is $15–$23.25 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
- Must have a positive, energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
- Must be active and able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assist persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and help them feel welcome in the dining room.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle with residents, entertain, and foster opportunities for residents to connect.
- Prepare tables for service, prepare salads for upcoming meals, and roll silverware.
- Bus tables and sweep floors to keep the community clean.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness staff when poor dietary habits, unusual changes in appetite, or resident absences from meals are observed.
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
