About The Position

The Server at Holliday Farms in Zionsville, Indiana, welcomes residents and helps create a friendly dining-room environment where they can connect. The role includes preparing for meal service, serving as a visible and engaging presence in the dining room, and keeping dining areas clean and orderly. Servers also communicate observations about residents’ eating habits, appetite changes, or absences from meals to supervisors and Wellness staff. This is a part-time position scheduled Fridays and Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The posted pay range is $17–$21.50 per hour. The position requires active work involving standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping, and may include lifting items and assisting residents with mobility or after a fall.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
Must have a positive and energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Greet residents, help them feel welcome, and foster opportunities for residents to connect in the dining room.
Remain present in the dining room, mingle with residents, and provide an engaging atmosphere.
Prepare tables, salads, and silverware for meal service.
Bus tables and sweep floors to maintain clean dining areas.
Communicate with supervisors and Wellness staff when residents show poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite, or are absent from meals.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
