About The Position

The Server welcomes residents and helps create a friendly dining environment by greeting them, being present in the dining room, mingling, entertaining, and encouraging residents to connect. The role also prepares tables and food items for meal service, rolls silverware, buses tables, and sweeps floors. Servers communicate with supervisors and Wellness staff when residents show poor dietary habits or unusual appetite changes, or are absent from meals.

This is a part-time position at Princeton in Lee's Summit, Missouri. The scheduled shifts are Monday and Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Pay is $15–$22 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
• Have a positive, energetic attitude and a desire to serve residents.
• Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
• Frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and help them feel welcome.
• Be present in the dining room, mingle, entertain, and foster an environment where residents can connect.
• Prepare tables and salads for meal service and roll silverware.
• Bus tables and sweep floors.
• Notify supervisors and Wellness staff about poor dietary habits, unusual changes in appetite, or residents absent from meals.
• Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
