About The Position

The Server welcomes residents, helps create a friendly dining-room atmosphere, and supports meal service at Carriage Court in Hilliard, Ohio. The role includes engaging with residents and helping them connect, preparing tables and food items for upcoming meals, keeping dining areas clean, and communicating concerns about residents’ eating habits or attendance to supervisors and Wellness staff. This is a part-time position scheduled Mondays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The stated pay range is $15–$19 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age.
Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
Have a positive, energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Greet residents, help them feel welcome, and be present and engaging in the dining room.
Mingle and entertain residents and foster an environment where they can connect.
Prepare tables for service, prepare salads for upcoming meals, and roll silverware.
Bus tables and sweep floors to keep the community tidy.
Communicate with supervisors and Wellness staff when residents show poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite, or are absent from meals.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
