About The Position

The Server works at Gardens at Arkanshire in Springdale, Arkansas, helping create a welcoming dining experience for residents. The role includes greeting and engaging residents, preparing tables and meal items, keeping the dining area clean, and communicating observations about residents’ appetites and meal attendance to supervisors and Wellness staff. This is a part-time position scheduled Mondays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The pay range is $15 to $19.75 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
Must have a positive and energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
Must be active and able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assist persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Greet residents, help them feel welcome, remain present in the dining room, mingle and entertain, and foster opportunities for residents to connect.
Prepare tables for service, prepare salads for upcoming meals, and roll silverware.
Bus tables and sweep floors to keep the dining area tidy.
Communicate with supervisors and Wellness staff when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed, and when residents are absent from meals.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
