About The Position

The Server works at Princeton, an Arrow Senior Living community in Lee's Summit, Missouri. The role focuses on welcoming residents and helping create a friendly dining-room environment where residents can connect. The Server prepares for meal service, serves as needed, maintains clean dining areas, and communicates observations about residents' eating habits or meal attendance to supervisors and Wellness. This is a full-time position scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., paying $15–$22 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
• Have a positive, energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
• Be active and able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
• Frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents, make them feel welcome, and remain present in the dining room.
• Mingle with and entertain residents and foster an environment where residents can connect.
• Prepare tables, salads for the next meal, and silverware for service.
• Bus tables and sweep floors to maintain a tidy community dining area.
• Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits, unusual changes in appetite, or residents' absence from meals are observed.
• Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
