About The Position

The Merriest Bar is a Christmas-themed pop-up at Shotski's Alpine Lodge Bar in San Francisco, serving seasonal hot and cold cocktails in festive surroundings. The role involves serving seated guests, helping them choose drinks, maintaining the floor, supporting the host team, and assisting with opening and closing. Applicants may have experience in the restaurant, bar, or hotel industries, or be eager to learn. Typical hours are between 3:30 p.m. and 2:30 a.m. The position is for the November–December Christmas season.

Requirements

• Able to service multiple tables at once.
• Demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with many types of guests.
• Have or be willing to obtain a California Food Handler’s Certification and pass RBS training.
• Be 21 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

• Strong cocktail knowledge and serving experience are preferred.
• Experience in the restaurant, bar, or hotel industries; applicants eager to learn are also considered.

Responsibilities

• Take and deliver drink orders to seated parties.
• Act as a subject matter expert for guests and help them make selections.
• Determine which situations need to be escalated to the management team.
• Maintain overall floor cleanliness.
• Support the host team with seating as necessary.
• Assist with opening and closing.
