About The Position
The Merriest Bar is a Christmas-themed pop-up at Shotski's Alpine Lodge Bar in San Francisco, serving seasonal hot and cold cocktails in festive surroundings. The role involves preparing and maintaining the bar, serving guests promptly and accurately, and contributing to a professional and courteous team environment. The position is seasonal for November–December, with typical hours between 3:30 pm and 2:30 am. Applicants should have at least one year of bartending experience in a busy hotel, restaurant, or nightclub. The employer also welcomes people with restaurant, bar, or hotel industry experience who are eager to learn.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of bartending experience in a busy hotel, restaurant, or nightclub.
- Knowledge of various drink-building techniques and styles.
- Classic cocktail knowledge.
- Ability to maintain strong coworker relationships.
- Flexible evening availability.
- Ability to take direction and follow through on reasonable requests from managers.
- Ability to stand for 8–10 hours.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds without assistance.
Responsibilities
- Prep, set up, and prepare the bar for daily service.
- Prioritize guest orders and deliver drinks promptly and efficiently.
- Take and return a variety of payment types accurately.
- Assist with cleaning and sanitizing as necessary.
- Maintain professional and courteous work relationships.
- Demonstrate attention to detail.
