About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Server to join The Wine Grotto. The Server seats guests and takes accurate food orders, monitors food distribution and presentation, maintains station setup and cleanliness, follows liquor regulations, and handles guest checks and payments. The position also includes bussing tables and other duties as assigned. Candidates need at least one year of hotel or restaurant serving experience and the ability to work flexible hours and shifts.

Requirements

• Minimum high school education; post-high-school education is preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a hotel or restaurant serving role.
• Be a team player.
• Ability to multitask.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
• Ability to operate available equipment such as cash registers and calculators.
• Basic math skills for making change and issuing refunds.
• Ability to work flexible hours and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Seat guests and take accurate food orders.
• Monitor food distribution, ensuring meals reach the correct guests and are properly prepared and presented, and that the buffet is appealing.
• Check the station before, during, and after shifts for proper setup and cleanliness.
• Follow state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations concerning service to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Know menu items, their preparation, and service procedures.
• Total checks, present them to guests, and accept payment.
• Assist with bussing tables.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
