About The Position

The St. James Hotel is seeking a part-time Server for The Port, its cocktail lounge. Servers provide service in a warm, welcoming, elevated atmosphere and help create memorable dining and cocktail experiences for guests. The targeted hiring range is $11.54–$15.07 per hour, depending on qualifications. Pay within the range is determined by job-related skills, competencies, experience, relevant education or training, market demand, role, level, and location. Specific salary-range and benefit information for the location will be discussed during hiring.

Requirements

Demonstrate good verbal, written, and communication skills.
Show attention to detail and strong interpersonal relationships with guests and employees.

Responsibilities

Serve multiple guest tables simultaneously as directed by management.
Check guests’ identification and serve alcoholic drinks in compliance with state and local regulations.
Work as part of a team and communicate with team members and guests.
Perform assigned preparatory duties, such as polishing and folding.
Work in compliance with Liquor Certification training.
