About The Position

The Server provides residents and guests with a high-quality dining experience and delivers Platinum Service®—courteous, responsive, timely, caring, and quality service. The role serves meals and beverages, takes orders, responds to menu questions, supports residents during meals, and helps prepare and maintain dining areas. The position supports other dining rooms, events, and activities as needed, and completes other job-related duties assigned. The listed shifts are 6:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. The employer is not hiring seasonal employees at this time.

Requirements

Meet all applicable state and federal requirements for the position.
Be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
Deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and personnel, and the public.
Be capable of working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people within the facility.
Communicate sufficiently and effectively with supervisors, team members, residents, and families.
Frequently lift or carry 30 lbs. and occasionally lift or carry 50 lbs.; frequently push or pull up to 30 lbs. and occasionally push or pull up to 50 lbs.
Perform bending, twisting, stooping, reaching at or below the shoulder, and frequent standing or walking.
Execute tasks independently and express oneself clearly and effectively.

Food service and/or hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance, following established portion-control procedures.
Distribute and collect menus as necessary; take meal orders, serve food and beverages, and answer menu questions.
Follow sanitary regulations and provide Platinum Service® during each dining experience.
Set up meal trays and food carts; prepare dining rooms with utensils, salt and pepper, and napkins; and clean common areas before and after meals.
Assist in checking resident trays before distribution.
Pour hot and cold beverages and assist residents with opening containers and condiments as needed; attend to resident and guest needs during meals.
Prepare and deliver snacks for community events and parties.
Bus tables during and after meals.
Provide support services to other dining rooms during events and activities as needed.
Clean dining room areas according to cleaning schedules and assignments.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
