About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is hiring a part-time Server at Vitalia Solon in Solon, Ohio. The role focuses on welcoming residents and supporting an enjoyable dining experience by being present and engaging in the dining room, preparing for meal service, maintaining a clean dining area, and communicating observations about residents’ eating habits and attendance to supervisors and Wellness. The schedule is Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Pay is $15 to $23.25 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
• Have a positive and energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
• Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
• Be able to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
• Be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and help them feel welcome.
• Be present in the dining room, mingle, entertain, and foster an environment where residents can connect.
• Prepare tables for service, prepare salads for upcoming meals, and roll silverware.
• Bus tables and sweep floors to help maintain a clean community dining area.
• Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed.
• Communicate when residents are absent from meals.
