About The Position

The Server at Vitalia Solon welcomes residents and helps create a friendly, engaging dining-room environment. The role includes preparing for meal service, assisting with table setup and food preparation, keeping dining areas clean, and observing residents’ eating habits and attendance. The position is full-time in Solon, Ohio, with a scheduled shift from 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Pay is $15 to $23.25 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
Must have a positive, energetic attitude and a genuine enthusiasm for residents.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Greet residents, help them feel welcome, and be present and engaging in the dining room.
Prepare tables and service supplies, prepare salads for upcoming meals, and roll silverware.
Bus tables and sweep floors to maintain a clean dining area.
Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when residents show poor dietary habits, unusual appetite changes, or are absent from meals.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
