About The Position

The Server welcomes residents and helps create a friendly, engaging dining-room atmosphere. The role includes preparing for meal service, maintaining a tidy dining area, and communicating resident meal concerns to supervisors and Wellness. The position is full-time at Vitalia N Olmsted in North Olmsted, Ohio, with a schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Pay is $15–$23.25 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
• Must have a positive and energetic attitude and a strong commitment to residents.
• Must be active and able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents, make them feel welcome, remain present in the dining room, mingle and entertain, and foster an environment where residents can connect.
• Prepare for meal service by setting tables, preparing salads for the next meal, and rolling silverware.
• Bus tables and sweep floors to keep the community tidy.
• Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits, unusual changes in appetite, or resident absences from meals are observed.
• Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
