About The Position

The Server works at Vitalia Solon in Solon, Ohio, helping create a welcoming dining experience for residents. The role includes greeting residents, being present and engaging in the dining room, and fostering connections. Servers prepare for meal service, help keep the dining area clean, and communicate observations about residents’ appetites or missed meals to supervisors and Wellness staff.

This is a full-time position scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Pay is $15 to $23.25 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
• Have a positive, energetic attitude and a desire to work with residents.
• Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
• Frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Pass criminal clearance.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and help them feel welcome.
• Be present in the dining room, mingle, entertain, and foster an environment where residents can connect.
• Prepare tables and salads for service and roll silverware.
• Bus tables and sweep floors to maintain a tidy community dining area.
• Communicate with supervisors and Wellness staff about poor dietary habits, unusual changes in appetite, or residents absent from meals.
• Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist people after a fall.
