About The Position

The Server at Crestone in Olathe, Kansas, helps create a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for residents. The role involves greeting residents, being present and engaging in the dining room, and helping foster connections among residents. Servers prepare dining areas and meal-service items, bus tables, sweep floors, and communicate observations about residents’ eating habits, appetite changes, or absences from meals to supervisors and Wellness staff. This is a part-time position scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The stated pay range is $15–$22 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age.
Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of eighth-grade proficiency.
Have a positive, energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
Be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Greet residents and help them feel welcome.
Be present in the dining room, mingle with residents, entertain, and foster an environment where residents can connect.
Prepare tables for service, salads for the next meal, and silverware.
Bus tables and sweep floors.
Communicate with supervisors and Wellness staff when poor dietary habits or unusual appetite changes are observed.
Notify supervisors and Wellness staff when residents are absent from meals.
