Server 4pm-7:30pm $15-22 (Part Time)
About The Position
The Server welcomes residents and helps create a warm, engaging dining experience. The role involves greeting residents, being present and social in the dining room, and fostering opportunities for residents to connect. Servers prepare tables and food items for service, roll silverware, bus tables, and sweep floors. They also communicate with supervisors and Wellness staff when they observe poor dietary habits, unusual appetite changes, or resident absences from meals. This is a part-time position at Crestone in Olathe, Kansas. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The stated pay range is $15–$22 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th-grade proficiency.
- Must have a positive, energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents, make them feel welcome, and foster a friendly dining-room environment.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle with residents, and help them connect.
- Prepare tables and salads for service and roll silverware.
- Bus tables and sweep floors to keep the community tidy.
- Notify supervisors and Wellness staff about poor dietary habits, unusual changes in appetite, or residents absent from meals.
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
