About The Position

As a Server at BRU Burger in Lafayette, you help ensure a positive dining experience by providing attentive customer service, taking accurate orders, serving food and beverages promptly, and keeping the dining area clean and organized. You welcome guests, help them navigate menu offerings, address questions and requests, and coordinate with restaurant staff to support efficient operations. The role also includes promoting specials and additional offerings, following health, safety, and alcohol-service policies, and handling payments accurately. Training is provided; prior serving experience is preferred but not required. The position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime compensation under applicable regulations. Responsibilities

Welcome guests and provide prompt, courteous service throughout their meal.
Help guests select menu items and provide information about food and beverages.
Take accurate food and beverage orders, enter them into the restaurant POS system, verify them, and communicate special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen.
Serve food and beverages according to presentation standards, monitor guests’ needs, refill drinks, clear plates, and provide requested items.
Set up and clean tables, maintain a clean and stocked dining area, and assist with dishwashing and other cleaning tasks as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers, and communicate guest feedback and special requests.
Promote daily specials, desserts, beverages, and additional items or upgrades.
Follow health and safety guidelines, food safety regulations, company policies, and procedures for alcohol service and guest conduct.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
