About The Position

As a Server at BRU Burger Bar in Evansville, you help ensure a positive dining experience by providing attentive customer service, accurately managing orders, serving food and beverages promptly, and keeping the dining area clean and organized. You work with guests and restaurant staff to support smooth operations and contribute to the success of the restaurant. The role is classified as non-exempt and eligible for overtime compensation under applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and help them feel welcome.
Help guests with menu selections and provide information about food and beverages.
Provide prompt, courteous service and respond professionally to guest questions, concerns, and requests.
Accurately take food and beverage orders, enter them into the POS system, and check them before submitting them to the kitchen.
Coordinate special requests and dietary restrictions with kitchen staff.
Serve food and beverages promptly and according to presentation standards.
Monitor guest needs, refill drinks, clear empty plates, and provide requested items.
Ensure meals are served correctly with appropriate condiments and accompaniments.
Set up and clean tables before and after guest use.
Keep the dining area clean, maintained, and stocked with utensils, napkins, and condiments.
Assist with general restaurant cleanliness, dishwashing, and other cleaning tasks as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to support efficient restaurant operations.
Communicate guest feedback and special requests to appropriate team members.
Promote daily specials, desserts, and beverages, and suggest additional items or upgrades.
Follow health and safety guidelines, food safety regulations, and company policies for alcohol service and guest conduct.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
