About The Position

As a Server at BRU Burger Bar in Westerville, you help ensure guests have a positive dining experience. You provide attentive customer service, take accurate orders, serve food and beverages promptly, and help maintain a clean and organized dining area. You work with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to support efficient restaurant operations, while promoting menu offerings and following health, safety, and company policies. Training is provided. Requirements

Previous serving experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Team-oriented approach and positive attitude.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift trays of food and beverages, carry trays, and bend, stoop, and reach as necessary.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and help them feel welcome.
Assist guests with menu selections and explain food and beverage offerings.
Provide prompt, courteous service and professionally address inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
Take food and beverage orders accurately, enter them into the restaurant POS system, and check them before sending them to the kitchen.
Coordinate special requests and dietary restrictions with kitchen staff.
Serve food and beverages promptly and according to presentation standards.
Monitor guests' needs, refill drinks, clear plates, and provide requested items, condiments, and accompaniments.
Set up and clean tables and keep the dining area clean, maintained, and stocked with utensils, napkins, and condiments.
Assist with general restaurant cleaning, including dishwashing, as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers, and communicate guest feedback and requests to appropriate team members.
Promote daily specials, desserts, and beverages, and suggest additional items or upgrades.
Follow health and safety guidelines, including food safety regulations, and company policies for alcohol service and guest conduct.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
