About The Position

As a Server at BRU Burger Bar, you help ensure guests have a positive dining experience by providing exceptional customer service, accurately managing orders, serving food and beverages promptly, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. You are expected to contribute to smooth restaurant operations through friendly, attentive service and effective teamwork. The role includes greeting guests, helping them choose from the menu, entering orders into the POS system, coordinating special requests with kitchen staff, and monitoring guests’ needs throughout their meal. Servers also promote specials and other menu items, handle payments, and follow health, safety, food-safety, and alcohol-service policies. Previous serving experience is preferred but not required, and training will be provided. The position requires standing, walking, carrying trays, and other movement for extended periods, as well as flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Compensation includes tips, and advancement opportunities are available within the restaurants.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and help them feel welcome.
Assist guests with menu selections and explain food and beverage offerings.
Provide prompt, courteous service and address guest questions, concerns, and special requests professionally.
Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the restaurant’s POS system.
Check orders for accuracy and communicate special requests and dietary restrictions to kitchen staff.
Serve food and beverages promptly and according to presentation standards.
Monitor guests’ needs, refill drinks, clear plates, and provide requested items.
Ensure meals are served with the appropriate condiments and accompaniments.
Set up and clean tables before and after guest use.
Keep the dining area clean, maintained, and stocked with utensils, napkins, and condiments.
Assist with general restaurant cleanliness, including dishwashing and other cleaning tasks as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to support smooth restaurant operations.
Communicate guest feedback and special requests to appropriate team members.
Promote daily specials, desserts, beverages, and other menu items or upgrades.
Follow health and safety guidelines, including food-safety regulations, and company policies for alcohol service and guest conduct.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
